Happy Friday everyone!
We hope you all had a lovely half term break with your families and were able to enjoy the time together despite the rain! We have had an amazing first week back to school and the children have enjoyed meeting some visitors from the emergency services. Please see the newsletter for the pictures!
Forest School
Moving forward, the children in KS1 will now have Forest School weekly. All classes will now have Forest school on a TUESDAY.
Samaritans Purse Shoebox appeal
As previously mentioned, we are collecting items and are hoping that each class can pack a shoebox for one boy and one girl. It would be wonderful if everybody could donate one small item to help us to achieve this. Thank you for the donations that we have received already. There is information about the items that can be placed into the boxes on the website and we have also sent a photo of the list via Dojo. We would like to thank you in advance for your generosity and kindness. Further information can be found here:
Maths Homework
For Year 2 we would like them to look at pages 14 and 15 which focuses on partitioning two and three digit numbers.
For Year 1 we would like them to look at pages 10 and 11 which focuses on counting to 100.
It is also very beneficial for the children to be spending time on Times Table Rockstars and Sumdog. Accessing these platforms little and often can really help children to become fluent in recalling their Times Tables.
Spellings
New spelling sheets are in the children's bags along with this week's Animaphonics books.
Thank you so much for all of your support at home. Your efforts really do help your child's confidence and fluency in Maths and Reading.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend!
Best wishes
